Rooted in the Rotherham community, these remarkable individuals bring a wealth of expertise and passion, helping us make a positive impact across the region.
Lindsay Jones – Chair of Trustees
Lindsay brings over 30 years of experience in education, with senior leadership roles at Rotherham schools and project management expertise in large-scale developments. She has also worked with the HandleBards Theatre Group and the Retford Educational Foundation, supporting arts and education. A lifelong Rotherham Titans supporter, Lindsay has reshaped the Foundation’s youth programs, focusing on rugby and community health.
Nick Cragg – Trustee
A Chartered Civil Engineer and chairman of several major organizations, Nick has made significant contributions to business and charity work. His efforts include leading initiatives in Nepal and driving economic regeneration in Rotherham through visual arts. As Chairman of Rotherham Titans Rugby Club, Nick’s leadership benefits both the team and the wider community.
John Whaling – Financial Director
John has a wealth of financial expertise, having served as a senior board member for a PLC with over £3 billion in turnover. Now running his own consultancy, he’s managed major projects such as New York Stadium and local charity refurbishments. With numerous non-executive roles, including CEO of Sheffield Eagles, John ensures the Foundation’s financial health remains strong.
Alan Holloway – Trustee
With 46 years as a Chartered Accountant, Alan transitioned from managing a large firm to running his own practice. A dedicated member of the Titans Community Foundation since 2005, Alan brings extensive financial expertise and a commitment to the local community, having served in leadership roles with Rotary clubs.
Julie Watson – Trustee
Julie has three decades of experience in marketing, advertising, and project management. Since moving to Rotherham, she’s been instrumental in community projects like creating disability-friendly gardens and wildlife areas. Her passion for community development aligns perfectly with the Foundation’s mission.
Dr. Charles Collinson – Trustee
Born and raised in Rotherham, Dr. Charles brings extensive healthcare knowledge to the Foundation. As the former chairman of NHS Rotherham’s executive committee, he managed a £400 million budget for local health services. A lifelong rugby supporter and advocate for health, Dr. Charles is committed to improving lives in the community.
Carole Haywood – Trustee
With a career spanning project management, fundraising, and volunteer coordination, Carole has overseen numerous regeneration projects and community initiatives. Her work with Rotherham Council and Voluntary Action Rotherham highlights her ability to foster collaboration and improve local services. Joining the Foundation in 2023, Carole brings vision and dedication to her role.
